It’s a joy working with the team at The Courthouse Collective, every piece of art not only holds local nostalgia but also tests the brain. Check out their website to appreciate what they do, here’s how they describe themselves:

“The fabric of time is a tapestry of our reality.

Technology has weaved its way in to everything we do. Originally we believed that technology would save us, but it seems to be enslaving us.

The systems that control us are increasingly keeping us on one thread whilst ignoring the complex weave of our society.

We are a loose collective of creatives, artists, developers, marketeers, architects, technicians etc, who have come together to spin new threads and weave a new tapestry of our own reality.

We have been working with The Mind Your Head Podcast for about 18 months now: a mental health support platform for people that work in any sector of the construction industry. MYHP have just let us in on their exciting news: they have just started to build their own podcast studio so in the near future MYHP will have 2 podcast a month going out.

Spring is on it’s way

If you know us, in particular Matt, you will know there is a sense of humour lurking around the shop! We have started sharing this as prints in the shop but did you know you can also access them online. For some reason this British Garden Birds Poster proves to be particularly popular! A gift for a budding Ornithologist (birder!), or we also have one for a Dendrophile (tree hugger!) and keen anglers

Design for print tip 2: Size is important

How a line will print is very difficult to judge on a screen: clarity can change with weight, colour, background, paper and even angle. Be careful with any line thinner than 0.5pt. The same goes when choosing font sizes, there is no single rule for every project but the viewing distance should be taken into account. Need us to speak between more clearly between the lines? Women in charge!

March will see International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day! Vikki is our in house Woman and Mother, so here are some facts about her:

• She is half english half portuguese and half welsh and does our accounts – make of that what you will- ha ha!
• Before joining Matt (her husband) at the Printshop she was a lawyer
• She can play the saxophone (but doesn’t anymore)
• Her all time favourite song is Hotel California by The Eagles
