Given our design service we often get asked about web design, which is something we do not offer. However, we will always recommend using local business Pepperstreet, owned by the wonderful Helen.

Helen advises that before starting website development, careful planning ensures your investment delivers results. Here are the essential factors Helen advises to consider:

BUDGET

  • Basic Brochure Website: £1,000–£3,000

  • E-Commerce Website: £5,000–£15,000+

Costs vary based on design complexity, pages, integrations, content creation, hosting, and maintenance. Consider this an investment – your website works 24/7 promoting your business.

GOALS

Define measurable objectives for:

  • Business growth

  • Lead generation

  • Online sales

  • Brand awareness

  • Search visibility

DESIGN AND CONTENT

Focus on user-friendly design with intuitive navigation and fast loading speeds. Your content should clearly communicate your value proposition and solve customer problems, while maintaining SEO best practices.

ESSENTIAL SERVICES

Ensure your quote includes:

  • Project management

  • Hosting and domain setup

  • SSL and email integration

  • Maintenance

  • Legal compliance

  • Content creation

  • Training

  • Digital marketing

PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE

A professional website designer brings creative vision, technical expertise, and strategic thinking. While DIY options exist, professional development ensures your site effectively attracts customers and builds credibility.

Remember: Quality website development is an investment that pays off through increased visibility, customer trust, and business growth.

Business Race for Our Space

I’m part of the organising team for Race for Our Space, a community charity running event. This year, we’re raising funds for Our Space, a vital initiative to build a youth centre in Macclesfield that will empower our young people by creating a safe and inspiring space for them to grow, connect, and thrive.

There are several ways your business can get involved:

● Sponsorship Opportunities: Promote your brand while supporting a meaningful cause.

● Raffle Prizes: Donate products, services, or gift vouchers to add excitement to our fundraising efforts.

In-Kind Contributions: Help us with supplies, refreshments, or event logistics.

● Enter a Team: Get together with 5 colleagues and Race for Our Space!

In return, we’d be delighted to showcase your business in our event materials, social media campaigns, and on the day itself. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with local families and demonstrate your commitment to making a difference.

Race for Our Space will take place on Saturday 21st June at Alderley Park, and we’re expecting a wonderful turnout of participants and supporters.

If you’d like to learn more or discuss how you can get involved, please feel free to contact me directly.

And finally…!

If you have read all the way down to here, I really appreciate it. Writing newsletters is part of my marketing strategy this year but it is very time consuming and hard to squeeze in: I don’t think as customers you would appreciate it if I said your order was on hold whilst I do my newsletter! So, if you are at this point, know that it means a lot, drop me a note and I’ll print you a mug to say thank you, just let me know what you would like on it!

Cheers,

Vikki
